Bank of China (BOC) Guangdong branch issued redeemable notes used as subsidiary silver coin notes in August, 1914. These notes, with the denominations of five yuan and ten yuan, were BOC redeemable notes in substitution for the redeemable notes (1913) of Guangdong Provincial Bank printed by American Bank Note Company.
