To facilitate donations from Macau people to the earthquake-stricken Yushu County in Qinghai Province, Bank of China Macau Branch, with the Chinese tradition of "concerted rescue for the suffered" in mind, has opened dedicated donation windows in its 28 outlets across Macau to provide queue-free and fee-free donation remittance service.
Besides the dedicated windows, customers can also donate via the branch service hotline 888 95566 to contact the customer service director, or Bank of China e-banking (personal), or Bank of China e-channel at the 24-hour self-service banking centers. Donors may ask for an official receipt with the printed online transaction screen or Bank of China e-channel transaction voucher from the authorized fundraising institutions two working days after the transaction.
These charities and social service institutions have set up their own Qinghai Earthquake donation accounts at the branch: the Macau Red Cross, World Vision, General Union of Neighbors Association of Macau (UGAMM), Caritas Macau and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions. Meanwhile, 20 sub-branches under Bank of China Macau Branch will set up donation boxes for UGAMM to facilitate donors from April 20.
