1. What kinds of credit cards are supported by online banking?
A:Online banking supports the inquiry, online repayment, and automatic repayment settings all types of BOC series credit cards (including BOC Credit Card, BOC VISA Olympic Card, BOC City Card, BOC JCB Credit Card, BOC-Air China’s Companion VISA Olympic Credit Card, BOC-Ctrip Credit Card, BOC-Amway Credit Card, BOC-SOGO Card and other co-branded/affinity cards).
Additionally, online banking also support inquiry and within-province fund transfer of all Great Wall RMB credit cards.
2. How can I make repayment of credit card by online banking?
A: New version online banking provides you with two methods for repayment: active repayment and automatic repayment. You can repay the bills of BOC series credit card or Great Wall RMB credit cards through the “Credit Card fund transfer” function under “Credit Card” service at anytime, and also you can activate automatic repayment of BOC series cards in “credit card repayment setting” function.
3. What is active repayment? What is passive repayment?
A: Active repayment means that the cardholder actively transfers funds from payment account to credit card account for repayment according to the monthly statement of account; automatic repayment means that the cardholder binds payment account with credit card account as required by the bank, select lump-sum repayment or minimum repayment, and the bank automatically withholds the repayment before it becomes due.
4. What kinds of accounts can be used to for the active repayment to BOC series credit cards or Great Wall RMB credit card account?
A: By “Credit Card fund transfer” function under “Credit Card” service, you can transfer fund from Great Wall electronic debit card or Great Wall RMB credit card account to BOC series credit card or Great Wall RMB credit card at anytime.
5. What accounts can be used as automatic repayment accounts of BOC series credit card?
A: You may set ordinary current deposit account, passbook of current deposits, Great wall electronic debit card or Great Wall RMB credit card account as payer’s accounts of automatic repayment to BOC series credit card.
6. What is the minimum repayment?
A: Minimum repayment means that you need not to repay in full the bill debts before the due date specified by you, and you are only required to pay the "minimum repayment" listed in the statement of account of current period, which is calculated by the formula as below:
Outstanding minimum repayment of previous period + accumulated outstanding fees and interest + accumulated outstanding cash advance + 10% of accumulated outstanding consumption amount + transaction amount (inclusive of fees and interest ) beyond credit line = minimum repayment
7. How to calculate the exchange rates between foreign currencies and RMB if I choose to make repayment in RMB for all the debts in RMB or in foreign currencies?
A: If you choose to make repayment in RMB for foreign currency debts, the settlement exchange rate will be the exchange rate BOC published one day before the repayment deduction date. Please refer to the exchange rates published by BOC at its branches or on its website.
